Pennsylvania to Palm Springs, CA

I am considering a road trip from Pennsylvania to Palm Springs, CA in November. I've pretty much figured out the quickest way will be traveling I-44, I-40, I-17 and I-10 through central and western United States. I've thought about stopping in St. Louis or Springfield, MO and then in Albuquerque before ending in Palm Springs. Does anyone have an idea of what the weather will be like this time of year (hopefully no snow)? Also, going this route will I be traveling over any high elevations? I'm not fond of flying and thought this might be a nice way to see parts of the States I haven't seen yet. Any special places we might like to see along this route? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip Forum! It should be a nice drive with respect to weather in early November -- but the later you go, the more chance of storms and snow in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.

Also, going this route will I be traveling over any high elevations?

I-40 past Flagstaff is over 5000 feet.

Any special places we might like to see along this route? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Big Bend NP along the Rio Grande is pretty special.
