Plan on doing Cave of the Winds-it's definitely worth it. Also, do this first then the Maid of the Mist. COW will give you sandals that you can wear later on the MOM, which will keep your real shoes dry for all your walking the rest of the day. Trust me on this! We did it in reverse and had wet shoes all day, not fun.

Also, since you're staying in Canada if you are there on fireworks night, it is really nice to watch the fireworks from the Skylon Tower. Great view of both falls but get there early enough to stake out a spot because it gets crowded.
