16 Days from Denver

Hi

We are flying to Denver on 10th October and fly out of Denver on October 26th. We are planning a round trip taking in the Rocky Mountian National Park, Colorado Springs, Santa Fe, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and back to Denver. Are there any unmissable sights we should be making an effort to go and see or any parts that are not worth bothering with.

Any tips will be gratefully received!

I'm currently planning a siimilar trip. I've included Arches National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and Grand Escalante Staircase on my list. Also Pikes' Peak, just South of the Denver area.

From the Grand Canyon area in Arizona you could take in a small part of Route 66, up 93 across Hoover Dam and then into Las Vegas. The Painted Desert and Petrified Forest of Arizona were some of the most beautiful landscapes I had seen when I made a trip through the Southwest.
