Hi everyone!
My friend and I are planning a road trip in June from Portland Oregon to Central Jersey! I road tripped on my way to Portland two years ago and went through Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, and Idaho. It was awesome and we saw a lot of cool things, it was also the most logical way to go (Colorado being slightly out of the way, but not too bad). That was my first time road tripping so I was not sure how much driving I could handle/ what I was doing at all. I ended up really loving it and now as I finish up school here and am heading back to the east coast I want to go a new route, but I am not sure what is realistic given the amount of time we have and given our budget (which isn't huge) We have from June 9th or 10th to June 18th, so 9 or 10 days. My friend is very excited and ambitious about the trip and wants to go to Cali first then hit Nevada or Arizona, and even hit all the way in Nashville, Tennessee (pretty out of the way!) I am not sure if that is possible given our time frame or money limitations but I want to make at least some of those things happen! I want see some other parts of the country that I did not see on my way here, which I know will require going out of the way but I am looking for advice on what other people have done on budgets and with a 10 day time frame? Also looking for ideas of places that are too great to miss out on along the way! Any and all suggestions and ideas are welcomed!! Thanks everyone!!
