Hi there, we are planning to drive from Vegas to Calgary for the stampede this summer. What are the best companies to hire RV 's for one way journeys? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated and places To stop along the way.

Welcome to the RTA Forum!
I do not believe any RV company will allow one way rentals from the US to Canada. You might check with Cruise America or El Monte, which are 2 of the biggest rental companies for RVs, but I highly doubt it will be allowed, and if you find someone who will let you do a drop in Canada, it will be very expensive.
Otherwise, we simply don't have enough information about you, your trip, the time you have, your interests, etc to give you much additional help. The more you share the more we can help.
Ooh well that changes our plans a little. Have you any suggestions of how we might achieve our trip, we really want to see the real America, traveling through all the little townships etc, we have planned to stop at the montana grizzly encounter and generally soak up the sights enroute. I've looked into hiring a car also and then just staying in motels.
The same information about one way rentals into Canada also applies to regular cars. Most won't allow it, and those who do will charge an major fee to do so. You'll be much better off doing a loop, or at the very least, starting and finishing in the same country.
But again, we simply don't know anything about what you are trying to do. "Seeing the real america" really doesn't tell us anything - as has been said many times on this forum, I still am not sure what part of america is the fake part. I good starting point is to get out a good map and get an idea of where you'll be traveling, but we can't plan a trip for you, and we can't even offer much help if we have to guess what it is you want to "achieve."
If you want to do a one way trip and get to Calgary it shouldn't be a problem as such, just as long as you end your trip back in the USA, Seattle for instance. You will still have the one way drop off fee, but entering Canada isn't normally a problem, it's just dropping of your vehicle in a different country that would be 'iffy'.
You haven't said how long you have for the trip and if you have other interests. From Vegas you could side trip to some of the great National parks of the Southwest like Grand canyon and/or parks of southern Utah like Bryce canyon and Zion NP. On the way North are the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier NP's and in between, well a million and one things !!
As you get dots on the map and give us more detail we can help to fill in the blanks.
