The Alaska Marine Highway now comes to Gustavus twice weekly in the summer. Camping facilities are at Bartlett Cove in the National Park. No facilities in Gustavus.
There is an "America's Classic" historic homestead the Gustavus Inn, named by the James Beard Foundation in 2010. The Inn's kitchen garden and wild and ocean harvest dining is an attraction to locals and visitor's alike.
The Nagoonberry Loop, on Nature Conservancy Land, is a 2.5 mile level hike through woodland, meadow and beach front located near the center of Gustavus.
