Default Traveling from PHX to Pigeon Forge, TN for Thanksgiving

We are wanting to travel the southern route. Take I10 until we get to Baton Rouge. My brother and his family rented a cabin for our whole family for the holiday. I've always done the I40 route so this will be new. I do want to stop off in Las Cruces to visit a family member and then San Antonio to enjoy Sea World. We homeschool so I was wondering what very fun sites are along this route that we could stop and see and how weather conditions are up in TN that time of year. I'm so looking forward to this trip. I just hope that the gas prices come down lots by then!! :)
    Thanks!!!

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

How much time do you have for this trip? How old are your kids, and what sorts of things do you consider "fun?"

Thanks for writing back. We have 2 weeks of time. And we will be staying in Pigeon Forge for 3-4 days. I was thinking of taking 5-6 days to get there and back. So, I'm looking for fun things to do along the way. My kids' age range from 9-3 years old at the time. I just saw Chattanooga Choo Choo and I remember going there as a kid. That might be something to look into. I wish we had more time to check out Baton Rouge area some more.
