Winter RV route from Lincoln City, OR to Tucson, AZ

I will be leaving Lincoln City in December. I've never driven my RV (it's a class A, 29 foot) over passes in the winter. I'm wondering if I would be better off to stay on Hwy 101 until I get to Eureka, CA and if there are any passes between Lincoln City and Eureka.

"You can't get there from here" without crossing mountains unless you take 101 all the way to San Francisco. You are much better off doing so on an Interstate highway than on a 2 lane state road. If the weather is bad, delay your trip till it's cleared up.
