    Default Calling all MAC users

I am using a MAC to access the forum and finding that the normal vB code that we use to create quotes and insert links is not working with the IE-MAC version browser I am using. Since I routinely view the Forum in windows-based browsers I was unware of this glitch.

So, if you use the Macintosh platform -- please let me know if you have noticed any other problems with this application.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Default Nope -- looking for MAC users

Brad, I appreciate that input -- but I am looking for Macintosh users. I already view the forum (and the rest of our content) on six different windows-based browsers. But I don't have access to macintosh units on a regular basis.

    Thanks,

Well, this is tested under Safari on Mac OS X 10.2.8 - quoting and inserting links appears okay. Next up...Firefox 1.5

This (Firefox 1.5) appears to be working as well. IE for Macintosh will cease to be supported as of the end of this year http://www.microsoft.com/mac/product...ternetexplorer

I have a lot of different platforms at my disposal here, computer nerd that I am. I can test under Mac OS 9 if it's necessary.

I'll check with IE just to be safe...

    Ok with IE 5.2.2

I access this forum quite a bit from the Mac - haven't had any problems as of late. HTH

Default Please try vB code using the quote icon

    Timbo,

    Thanks for the tests.

Please use this text: "Near to the Park" is a bit relative. I am reasonably sure that the Quality Inn that you have booked is located on Hwy 64 near Williams, Arizona, in a small community known as Grand Canyon, AZ. This location is about three hours from the south rim (2.5 hours from Bright Angel) so yes, I would think it certainly worth staying at the Thunderbird rather than driving 120 miles out of the park and then 120 miles back. and answer using the built-in vB code for quotes (eg: highlight a portion of the text and then click on the icon and see if the quoted passage is in the right place).

This was the nature of the problem I saw on both IE-MAC and on Safari on Mac OS X 10.2.8.

    thanks!

Assuming you mean that only the selected text is being quoted, that doesn't work for me on Mac or Windows - the above was edited down (Safari).

    Tim,

I am not sure I understand what you mean. Do you use either Messenger or Skype?
