Find near by places in M$ street trip 2006

Hi,

There is no option for "state park" or "national park" or "internet access" in the near by places check list. I wonder if M$ street doesn't provide such those informations or they are hidden in somewhere else in the software. ?

I find it odd, too, that they don't let you search on parks of any sort, but what you can do is search for 'Campgrounds' and this will generally bring up most state and federal parks (as well as all the KOA's). As for hot spots, I generally find it better to use one of the web based lists such as Wi-FiHotSpot. Not a perfect answer I know, but I hope it's of some help.

We have been building such software for a couple of years now. The reasons why MS doesn't provide those fields -- it is expensive to obtain and keep those data feeds current and accurate. Surprisingly, it is not the commercial sites that are the most costly -- the public sites for Federal and State campgrounds have the annoying habit of changing the path for their URLs on a regular basis and the pointer navigation methods they use are somewhat unfathomable at best.
