    Default Los Angeles to Denver

Is it possible to drive from Los Angeles to Denver in one day or is that just crazy?

The longest distance I've covered in one day is probably 630 miles but that was broken up by several breaks during the day and I started out late.

If that is crazy, where would a good place be to spend the night in between?

    Thanks,
    CrazyD

Personally, I wouldn't think of attempting that kind of distance in one stretch. It's just not fun under normal circumstances.

Richfield, Utah would split the distance into about two equal 500+ mile days -- or if you are determined to make the first day a marathon (744 miles), you could plan on Grand Junction, CO and make the second day a short one into Denver.

Staying at Richfield (which is what I would do) also puts you through the San Rafael Reef in morning light, a most spectacular stretch of I-70 between Richfield and Green River, instead of in the dark which is pointless! Just my opinion. Bob

    Bob,
You were thinking the same way I was. I was thinking of the possibility of stopping at Cedar City or Richfield instead. 1000+ miles is a long way.

    Thanks,
