Default Half-way meet between Atlanta & Jacksonville

My family and I are going to be coming across to the states from Scotland in October. We are going to be staying with my sister in Jacksonville. We plan to meet up with my nephew who lives in Atlanta. Can anyone suggest somewhere between Atlanta and Jacksonville where we could meet to spend sometime together? Unfortunately my nephew can only get a day off from work so we thought we could drive half-way & he could do the same.

We have three kids so somewhere child friendly would be ideal!!

    Any suggestions??

    Default One Suggestion

Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park outside Cordele, GA meets most of your requirements, It's about halfway between Jacksonville and Atlanta (roughly 150 miles from each). It's just off I-75, so access for both of you should be easy. It's got WW-II airplanes on exhibit, swimming, hiking, biking and fishing (you can rent boats and fishing tackle), and even junior ranger programs for the kids (Call in advance).

Have a great family reunion wherever you end up.

That sounds pretty good!! My 83 year old father will also be travelling with us and it sounds like the kind of place he would enjoy too!! Thanks for that and also for giving me the link!!

Can't wait to come back to your wonderful country!!
