Half-way meet between Atlanta & Jacksonville

My family and I are going to be coming across to the states from Scotland in October. We are going to be staying with my sister in Jacksonville. We plan to meet up with my nephew who lives in Atlanta. Can anyone suggest somewhere between Atlanta and Jacksonville where we could meet to spend sometime together? Unfortunately my nephew can only get a day off from work so we thought we could drive half-way & he could do the same.

We have three kids so somewhere child friendly would be ideal!!

Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park outside Cordele, GA meets most of your requirements, It's about halfway between Jacksonville and Atlanta (roughly 150 miles from each). It's just off I-75, so access for both of you should be easy. It's got WW-II airplanes on exhibit, swimming, hiking, biking and fishing (you can rent boats and fishing tackle), and even junior ranger programs for the kids (Call in advance).
