    Default Any suggestions?

A friend and I are flying to NYC from Seattle and then renting a car and driving to Atlanta and flying home. Our definite stops are NYC, Atlantic City, DC, Charlottesville, VA Beach, Raleigh, and Atlanta. We are thinking of the Outer Banks as well.

We are planning on doing about half camping and half hotels. Any suggestions on scenic routes or fun/interesting stops is appreciated.

    Thanks.

I've always been a big fan of Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The 100 mile "Skyline Drive" that cuts through the park makes it quite accessible. There are dozens of scenic overlooks along the way...very beautiful.

    When are you leaving?

    Good luck and safe driving.

Before you hit Skyline Drive, cut across NJ and take 22 west into Allentown. Then take the county roads into Lancaster PA through Amish Country. After Lancaster take 30 west into Gettysburg, and visit the town. You can then head south to Front Royal, VA - the start of Skyline Drive. My wife and I did that last October, and it was amazing.

    Have Fun!!

    I like that poster's suggestion for a pre-Shenandoah swing...

    Good luck and safe driving.
