Route for Birmingham to Denver

I can go from Birmingham to Denver either by way of Nashville to St. Louis to KC to Denver
OR
by way of Memphis to Little Rock to Tulsa to Wichita To
Denver ... the computers keep telling me that there is not 5 minutes
worth of Difference....anybody have any opinions on which route might be best ?

I think this might really be a case where your best route is simply the one that is most appealing to you.

One advantage of going via Nashville is that you would pretty much be traveling on interstates, so that should make the trip a little faster. Of course, it also goes through St. Louis and Kansas City, where you could potentially hit some traffic snarls.

In the end, I don't think you'll see a significant difference with either route, so if you really can't find a personal preference, I'd flip a coin!

Or if this is a round trip, I'd simply take one route east and the other west.
