OR coast

Hi,
I really want this camping trip to happen. So, I am going to make reservations this time. Me and my husband want to hit the OR coast for July 4th weekend(4 days). We want to camp all the way. 2 days at 2 different places, if need be. Where can I find good campgrounds along the coast? (a little inland would be ok too). We would cover Mendocino area later.
We will drive in early sat(1st) morning. Plan to come back tuesday(4th) evening.

Hi guys,
I did not have to decide on the campgrounds. These were the only ones available.
Booked for a day at Memaloose(I 84)
Next we drive go on I 84 west to the coast. Heard about a viewpoint in Astoria.
Read abt Canon beach from Judy's post.
We are gonna drive south, see wat we can that day and camp in W. Tugman SP - 2 nights.
See what all we could then. Highlights would be waterfalls, lighthouses and sunsets, of course.
AAA guide book gave me some info.
If anyone else can share anything at all, would try to chip it in.
OR caves, sand dunes & sea lion caves are on our list, already.

We plan to leave late night 30th June and stop at a rest area in Redding along I5. Will that be okay? Or will it be more sensible if we just leave early next morning. But 800 miles in 1 day with a stop at OR caves, won't it be too much?

Really confused abt when to leave.
