    Default RMNP in Early October

    Well, hello all.

I might be going to Joe Sakic's Number retirement ceremony and I was thinking that, while in Denver, I could go to the RMNP.

But I really really enjoy the view more when there is snow covering the mountain and I was thinking that October 1st might be too early for that.

So my question is, and sorry if this isn't the right place: do you have any pictures from the RMNP (especially Bear Lake) in early October? What do the Snowfalls look like this time of year?

    Default Unpredictable.

The weather is unpredictable and pictures won't tell you what it will be like this year. You can get early storms in Sept but typically Mid Oct/Nov the snow really sets in. Sorry but I am in the opposite corner as I am hoping to drive over the Trail ridge road on Sept 30th and keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be early snow storms that might close it. Keeping updated via there website is your best bet. They also have a couple of webcams for current conditions.
If you have the time to visit the park, I doubt you will be dissapointed snow or no snow, enjoy !
