    We stayed here.

We hung out in that area alot, just walking around, shopping, and eating. Then we learned the transit system and went over to the Crowne Plaza casino, a big flea market, St. Kilda and shopping on Church St.(I think) and that area. We also went to a Kiss concert at Rod Laver (my husband is a huge fan). We met these really nice aboriginie guys who told us Kiss was doing a smaller show the next night at this really small venue and we could get buy one get one free tickets. So, of course we had to do that too! I'm trying to remember where we ate - everywhere was so good, we still talk about this one place we stopped for breakfast. It was near our hotel in that big shopping area and it was down this little alley way. So good! We went to an italian place that was good, a place in chinatown, a mexican place right by our hotel, and this place called Monroes I think where we had kangaroo. Everything was excellent. It was cool how everyone eats outside, it reminds me of LA. Anyways, it was a great trip and my husband always says he wants to move there when he gets out of the military!

As for wedding places...the one you mentioned is a tacky little place just north of the strip. Most little chapels on the strip, unless in a hotel, are pretty cheesy, but if that's what you're looking for let me suggest The Little White Chapel. Long story short, my husband and I got married here (secretly) and then had a big traditional wedding about 6 months later. They have this cool drive through tunnel so you can actually get married in the car and I think you can even get a limo to pick you up, take you to get your marriage license, to the chapel, and then back to your hotel. It's all very cheesy and very Vegas. If you guys want something nicer and more traditional, look to the hotel chapels.

The palms is a great place to stay, lots to do just within the hotel. Go to the Ghost bar for a great view of the strip. Check out this broker, or ticketmaster for concert dates. Blue Man is a great show. Be on the lookout for discount tickets or check ebay when it gets closer for good prices.
