  1. Default Dallas to Phoenix.......any "must sees" along the way??

Making the trek from Dallas to Phoenix with an overnight in Van Horn, TX.

Travelling with a toddler and infant and wondered if there were any "must sees" along the route or close by?? (I-20 to I-10) This is our first time travelling out west.

Would love cool places to pull of and get out and enjoy, stretch our legs, etc.

Thank you in advance for your help!!

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

We aren't big believers in "must sees" here, because what is must see to one person might be a must miss to someone else.

You can get some ideas by taking a look at RTA's Map Center, this old thread has some good ideas along your route, and here's a good list of of places to take short rest breaks all across the US.

Of course, when traveling with very young children many times the best places to stop are town parks with a playground where they can get out an run around for a bit.

Thus the ask for suggestions and quotes around "must sees". Using that as a subjective term. I am certainly capable of deciding what is most applicable and attractive to me. Thanks for your reply.

In that case your best course of action is to get hold of some good detailed maps and/or road atlas, since all those are marked on good maps.

That is where I get all my information for sightseeing and stops.

Chiricahua Peak is nice 4 hours de-tour near Wilcox AZ. If you spend extra night on I10 then historic Tumbstone, AZ and Bisbee, AZ might be a good option as well...
