    Default Nice raking light!

Nice soft light striking the face of Half Dome tonight!

  2. Default very late guess

    May 19th at 10 am.

  3. Default Snowing again

And an even later second guess (if seconds are allowed) -- May 27th at 10 am.

    Default Crews are busy.

Almost 3 weeks into the plowing effort and the crews have opened up a single lane all the way to Tenaya lake. This under half way across the pass and poor weather has set in and is expected to deliver up to 6 inches of fresh snow in Tuolumne meadows area.

    Plowing west of White Wolf.

    Default Lot of snow melt

Take a look at today's Web Cam of Yosemite Falls -- that's a lot of water and snow-melt!

So, the 12th of May isn't going to work...

Newest dart going in --> 3:00 pm, Friday, May 27th (yes, I know CaNATIVE has this date, I am going for the closest hour...)

    Default East meets west.

The crews seem to be plowing on ! The Mono county and National park crews have now met to the east of Tenaya Lake. There is still lots of work to do which includes removing rock fall debris and fallen trees from the roadway and getting the full width plowed. Still no hints as to when the work may be completed.

Plowing near Tenaya lake from the Yosemite webpage.

    Default Best of Luck.

Guesswho, Welcome to the Great American Roadtrip Forum.

Really hope it will be open for you. If we could have a say in it, we would all be there to open it ourselves.

    Have a great trip.
