Arizona trip loop

I am landing in Las Vegas on Jan 7 and heading toward Sedona, Prescott, Phoenix and Tucson. This will be a 17 day road trip I would like to make it a loop back from Tucson to Las Vegas, but I don't know the best things to sight-see. We are interested in artsy towns, scenic views, light hiking and unusual experiences. Any ideas?

Welcome back!

You have plenty of time to expand your loop to encompass the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, and even some of the southern Utah parks. It is likely going to be cold and you will probably find some snow, but keep an eye on conditions and be flexible.

Another option is head for southern California and Death Valley.
