Connecticut to New Orleans

Hi there,
I'm looking to travel from CT to New Orleans this summer around July 15. I'm hoping to do the trip in two days. I'm also not looking to go down the coastal route. I was wondering if anyone has suggested routes that are pleasant and might lend themselves to camping on the way down. This is my first road trip, so any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry, but there is simply no way that any responsible person is going to give you help trying to drive over 1400 miles in only two days. The legal limit on professional drivers is in the range of 600 miles/day and even that pace, which is grueling for pros, would leave you well short of your goal. Unless you can come up with a full third day for this drive, you will be endangering yourself and thousands of other drivers by attempting it.
