Default 2 day trip raleigh nc to orlando - route recommendations?

My family of mum, dad, 2 teenagers are driving from Raleigh to Orlando on april 21-22. We have two days for the trip. Will leave Raleigh about lunch time and want to arrive Orlando about 5 pm the next day. Any suggestions for a scenic route would be appreciated. Looks like we could do coast or take a more inland route but probably not time for both. Happy to use interstate highways to make distance and get off for some slower scenic byways. Will have spent previous week in new York city and Washington dc so happy to "look" rather than "do".
thanks in advance for any tips. Steve.

I should have mentioned we live in Australia. Our previous trip was 5 years ago when the family did a driving trip from Miami to Orlando. So Raleigh to Orlando will all be new places for us.

Hi Steve, and Welcome to the The Great American RoadTrip Forum.

At 600 miles, you certainly have the time to take the scenic route. I am not really familiar with NC, SC and GA, but I would highly recommend taking the coastal road A1A, from Jacksonville to the Port Orange area. That is, of course, if you like beach scenery. If time permits, then take highway 1 to Cape Canaveral, and the expressway to Orlando. If time is running short, you could take I-4 from around Port Orange into Orlando.

    Have a great trip.

When is "Spring Break"? Will we cop big crowds 21-22 April? We drove Miami-Cape Canaveral looking for scenery, but mostly it was either built up or foliage blocked the view, which was a bit disappointing. Does A1A have a good view of the coast?

Not continuously... I do have memories of great ocean scenes, pelicans and beaches. It is eight years (I think) since I drove it, so relying on a rapidly fading memory. lol Most of the east coast, from Boston to Miami, is built up almost to the water line.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Spring Break.

Most schools' spring breaks should be over by late April. Usually it happens sometime between early March and the week after Easter.
