Quick Advice: Monterey to Denver via Grand Canyon in 4 days!

You know - if you live in Monterey, you could do Sequoia on a future weekend. It might be better anyway so you aren't limited by fires. If you have exactly 2 days to make it to Peach Springs on this trip, I'd plan carefully. I'd stay out of Death Valley this time of year, and I'd also stay away from Vegas and the Hoover Dam.

What would make sense to me in this case is go ahead and take the coast road this time, with an overnight in Paso Robles. From there to Peach Springs is about 500 miles via 46/99/58/I-40/AZ-66. This can be done in a day without getting in too late. If you can make it to Bakersfield on the first day, that's even better.
