New to this forum. :) This looks like a great place for this kind of activity.

We (a group of 3) are thinking of planning a road trip for this Thanksgiving weekend which is for us, 4 days. We have been on a road trip just once before this, which is from Washington DC - Miami, FL - Niagara Falls, NY - Washington DC. Certainly a long trip which took us 5 days and some 4000 miles to drive.

Now we do not have the time do some research and plan in advance as we just have only a week. We live in Fairfax, VA which is about an hour from DC.

Can anyone suggest some places? I know there is no one answer for this kind of a question. But just suggest some. The only criteria would be

- Not hitting a very cold weather at this time of the year
- A trip that would be done in 3-4 days.
- A few things that we are interested in are Photography, hiking, National
parks (anything that does not have a city feel to it)
