Default Alaska Highway - females driving alone

I would love to have feedback about the safety of two women and two female teenagers driving the Alaska Highway. We are considering either driving an RV and sleeping in it, or driving a regular car and staying the night in motels. Thank you for your thoughts. Toni

    Default certainly

You really shouldn't have anything to worry about. The Alaska Highway is a bit more remote than your average highway, but its still a road that sees a lot of traffic and there is no reason you can't have a perfectly safe trip. One of our regular members, lifemagician, is an older woman from Australia who has made the trip all by her self so it certainly can be done.

Before you go, make sure you pick up a copy of the Milepost, the must have guidebook for traveling the Alaska highway.

Also, I'm not sure than an RV would be possible for the trip unless you plan to purchase one. I don't know of any company that will allow a Rental to be taken to Alaska.
