  1. Default Florida to seattle with nice roads

    Hi !

I am only a teenager from France, but my dream vacation is to do florida-seattle in a sporty car (You lucky Americans have C63 AMGs in Herz agencies, I am so gealous ;) ).

I wonder if there is some roads with nice landscapes and/or good curves. If there is, can you please tell me ?

    Thanks :)

Default Have You Got the Car Yet?

Bienvenue sur les forums de RoadTrip Amérique. Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

There is no shortage of great roads in America, particularly cutting across the entire country, including the Appalachian, Rocky, and Cascade Mountains. However, I think you've got a huge roadblock between you and your driving dream, and that's your age. No American rental company is going to hand over a car to a teenager. That's just a fact. And even in your early 20s, you're going to have to pay a huge "underage driver" fee. You may be able to arrange a rental through a European-base consolidator such as carhire3000, but you really need to get that the car (and the money for it) lined up before you let your dreams go too much further.

Thanks for your fast responce and your welcome :)

I know that it will be difficult and expensive, but I am not planning to do it until I have finished my studies (In fact I don't even have my driving licence... yet)

    Default 25

I'm sorry to tell you that you are going to have to wait until you are at least 25 to do the trip you are dreaming of.

Buck mentioned the underage driver fees, and those are something you will have to worry about before you can take any roadtrip. However, even there, until you are at least 25, your choice of cars are going to be limited to base model sedans.

All rentals in the Specialty Collections, like the Mercedes you mentioned, have a minimum age of 25, with no exceptions. Also, specialty collection rentals are typically not available for one way rentals, so you wouldn't be able to rent one in Florida and drop it off on the other side of the country.

Clearly, you've got a lot of time before this trip will happen, but that's a lot of time to keep dreaming and thinking about what you want to do when you'll finally be able to reach this goal.
