Default Holiday Driving Info and Tips

The Associated Press released this article yesterday regarding holiday travel, particularly over Thanksgiving. If you are going to be on the road (and some 50 million of you will), it is well worth the read.

    Default drive on Thanksgiving Day

My additional add to the tips -- is to drive on Thanksgiving Day itself. And avoid that Sunday at all costs.

    Thanks for the post!

I am very lucky that I can celebrate locally with my family. My mom has always made a huge home cooked feast. My girlfriend's family is in the Fayetteville, AR area. She visited recently for the first Thanksgiving in over 20 years (I took a pass as it's important to me to be with my mom and my GF had no issue with it - I would gladly go down there the day after if she wanted me to). They went to Golden Corral which really annoyed her (knowing what she missed up here) so it will probably be another 20 years!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and safe travels!
