    Default Cape Cod to ???

We are a family of 4 (kids age 11 and 13) in the initial stages of planning a cross-country trip this summer. We're thinking about 3 weeks in an RV, and are already wondering ~~ what is a reasonable route to give us time to enjoy the trip and return within the time frame?

We'll spend more time reading, but wondered if anyone had advice?

    Thank you!

    Default The First Decision(s)

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

Nobody here is in a better position to determine where you should go or what you should do than you are. So the very first two decisions you and your family are going to have to make are just those: Where and What. Literally everywhere in the contiguous United States and most of Canada is within range of a three week RoadTrip if you plan on driving and sightseeing most days. But if you'd prefer to drive less and spend more time outside the RV, then that will cut down on the distance you can go by a corresponding amount. So my first suggestion is that you sit down with your family, go through the 'Compatibility' Quiz to see what type of travel style and destinations will please you all the most, and then go over a map of the U.S. with your desires and time limits in mind. At that point we should be able to help you. Right now we'd just be taking a shot in the dark.
