Please help :)

My friend and I are planning a road trip from Vancouver BC to San Diego in July 2010 for about 3 weeks, for our 30th birthdays. We have both done some research about where to go etc, but would welcome any feedback about good places to go, see, eat, stay etc. Any ideas would be great as I have not been to the US for 20 years so could really use the help of people who know.

If you check out the discussions listed here and here, as well as follow the links to similar threads at the bottom of each page, you'll find some of the best recommendations made for this popular RoadTrip over the years. That's a far better option, I think, than trying to start from scratch.
