Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!
For only about 160 miles, or about 10%, more in the way of miles, you can have a completely different experience from what you had by just taking I-5 down the Willamette and Central Valleys. The general idea would be to follow I-90/I-82/I-84 inland across the Cascades, Columbia River Basin and Blue Mountains and through the Snake River Valley to the Great Salt Lake, then follow I-15 down through red rock country to Las Vegas and finally follow US-95 down the Colorado River to Yuma.
Along the way highlights (we really don't like the term "must see" here, as what I would love, you might hate) would include the Columbia River Gorge, Bruneau Canyon and Sand Dunes, Thousand Springs, Hagerman Fossil Beds, Great Salt Lake, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks, Las Vegas, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Hoover Dam, and London Bridge - to name a few. You could make the drive in as little as three days. With ten, you'll have plenty of time to explore the new country that you'll be traveling through.

Following on from Bucks great advice, you would also have the option of heading south from Twin Falls on US93 through the Great Basin with a possible stop at the National Park and Cathedral Gorge State park.
When you say "road trip time" is that 10 days to travel one way to Yuma, or including the return and time there ?
