    Default TN, AL, Mississippi and Louisiana tips!

    We are driving down to New Orleans this week from New York and I'm pretty clueless about most of the southern states. I'm looking to get some real culture-off the beaten path kind stuff, not just tourism (other than Graceland of course!). If anybody has any tips on restaurants or places to visit through Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, I'd really appreciate it! Looking for good BBQ, ghost stories and history.

    Some of the best BBQ you will find anywhere is at the Ridgewood Barbecue in Bluff City TN. It's not too far off I-81.
