    Default A good chance.

It looks to be clear untill 11am and then some showers are likely, turning to snow above 7500 feet but looking at the forecast it might not amount to much untill late afternoon/evening, if at all. With overnight temps above freezing the pass should be OK for an early[ish] start, fingers crossed.

    Good luck !

    Default Best info available.

Notices will be put out if chains are required and then it is compulsory, your best bet will be speaking to a Park ranger before heading off to get the latest and best advice, if they have any major concerns the road will be closed.

I hope it works out well for you.

    Default closed again...

    ... but will probably reopen.

That's not why I posted this. The attached image is one of the better webcam shots I've ever seen, and just had to share.

    Default Another.

Mmm, Seeing as Don posted at 5.00 PM, I am wondering whether Bomber might have got over in the morning ?

That's a good shot from the web cam, this is not a recent one but one I wanted to keep.

And another from the same cam as Don's. [Love the sky]

    Default Too cheap !

The gas prices over there are so cheap it's hard work giving it away !

The pass is still open and the weather doesn't look too bad for the next week but it looks like a big drop in temps and snow showers possible next Tues/Weds.

A reminder for anyone wanting to predict, the closing date must be 15 day's after your post to qualify so don't leave it too long. As you can see on the first page these are the previous dates that can be used as a guide.

    Good luck.

Wow, look how much has melted since last week!

if you look closely you can see the ranger in the kiosk!

Edit: 10/26/09: wow, the snow is continuing to melt! -- I guess they knew what they were doing when they didn't officially close the road in those earlier snow storms.

    Default Nov 20th @ 10am

Whoops, I almost forgot to join in on the party here.

With my luck the road will probably close in the next week or so, but that doesn't mean I still can't weigh the averages and keep to my idiosyncratic guessing.

    Friday, November 20th @ 10:00am PST

    Come on, Schwartz!

It's looking very settled for the coming week and after some early storms I am beginning to wonder whether this is going to be a late one.
