I just stopped in Missoula to get some breakfast and check my e-mail, but it would totally be worth spending a little more time there.

Hello Chateau,
Absolutely, Missoula, "The Garden City", is a gem.
Hopefully you found your breakfast at The Oxford, a Missoula institution (some might say a Missoula mental institution). The Oxford never closes and they say they don't even know where the keys to the place are.
Travelers along I-90 or US 93 can stay in downtown hotels overlooking the Clark Fork River and within easy walking distance from the University of Montana campus, restaurants, bars, and a very nice riverside greenway.
Great little city, Missoula, and one of my favorites.
