    Default New York to Baltimore

Hey Everyone. I'm heading to Baltimore this weekend from New York to watch some baseball, but have no plans for Sunday. I was thinking about stopping at a beach somewhere on the way back up to New York. Anyone know of any that aren't too far out of the way? We were planning on taking i95 back up, but I wouldn't mind taking a more scenic route.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Default Beaches (More of Less) on the Way Home

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

The only beaches that would not be too far out of the way on your way back up from Baltimore would be the jersey shore between roughly Toms River and Rumson. You'd get to these the fast way by taking I-95 up to exit 7A and then taking I-195 over to the coast. If you're more interested in scenery than beach time. then I'd recommend that you take I-97 south (!) out of Baltimore and cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (US-50) and head over to the Delaware shore either at the State Park for pure ocean front or at Rehoboth or Dewey Beaches for a bit more in the way of things to do. Then take the ferry over to Cape may, NJ and head home on the Garden State Parkway.
