How long do you intend to allocate for your trip. 26th is not far off! Guess, planning late has its own adventure to it :)

Judy and Mark would the right people to guide you in that area. With a little more information as to your interests(hikes, sight-seeing, adventure trips, redwoods etc), camping or motels? any kids? I am sure you will get more information than you actually need.
I stay in bay area; I may not be around that time here, but if I can be of any help, let me know.

Also, let us know what you have seen. Portland, OR/CA coast would be everyone's first choice :)

I did hear abt the heat in WA. It not only made it to Seattle newspapers, but also the national weather service :-)
