    Default Jeeps

I got "Rocky" a '98 SE after I totaled my old '92, "Butch." So, I know what you're talking about. There's also the "Jeep wave" in PA and MD.
There's a reason why they came out with a slogan "It's a Jeep thing... you wouldn't understand."

Hi Steve, My name is Jay and I am in the miliitary stationed in Virginia and I just bought a 2005 Jeep almost about a mon ago.

I am replying to your question about the wave, and yes we do the wave down here also whether they are in the military or not , ever since I had purchased my jeep, didn't really understand what it meant till I realized it was because of the Jeep. So ever since I have purchased my jeep, I have been waving at jeeps passing by. Now you know we do the wave here in Virginia

I no longer have my 89 Wrangler nor my 88 Grand Wagoneer and I am looking to unload my 82 Wagoneer. :( so sad. I miss the Jeep wave, but we have a little bit of a Subaru wave going on though :)

    Default Jeep waving

    Hi Steve
I live in New Hampshire and everyone with a wrangler waves. In vermont it works that way too. I also have a wrangler in Arizona and they do NOT wave out there. However if you break a u-joint in the middle of the desert they do go out of their way to help you out.
    Happy jeeping

  5. Default Advice CC in a Wrangler

This August of all months, I will be driving my 95 Wrangler from DC to Southern California and I wanted to get an advice from experienced cross country road tripers about anything that particularly relates to Wranglers. Like has anyone gone cross country in their Wrangler and did it make it the whole way? Should I replace/check anything in particular before attempting? Does anyone have an estimate on price? Doing this isn't my 1st choice but I'm right out of college and can't afford car transport. And as you all know selling my Roxanne is out of the question :-). Thanks!

    Default Greased Zirks

    erobbins,
your 95 Wrangler should do fine if the maintenance is up on it. I'd carry a couple jugs of spare water tho, because it'll be hot coming across. In fact, I'd probably have the radiator flushed and checked before making the trip, and have someone check the hoses if you're not a mechanical kinda person.
Greased zirks up front will be essential.

I hope you have some semi-street tires on it, rather than some off road monsters. For a trip like this, tires with a good street tread would be important.

Del, does this phrase refer to a noun or a verb? Actually, I suppose it could be both.

  8. Default 2006 Wrangler Sport A/C Leak

My Wrangler Sport was delivered on 8/21/06 I drove it 4 days and around 300 miles. Went to drive it on 8/26/06 and found 2 inches of water on the floor, all the way back to the rear seat. It is a hard top. I called the dealer and sales man said this was a common problem with the A/C drain hose plugging up from dust. Maybe this happens in a few years but only 4 days? Anyone else have this problem?

Yikes! That does seem pretty darn strange! I hope you find a good answer to it.

  10. Default The "Big Orange"

I just bought my 3rd Jeep this week. It has become my second favorite Jeep. I still miss my 1992 "Olympic" sponsered stars and stripes Jeep. Anyway, it's orange. No, really, it's not bad lookin'.....but I would drive a purple Jeep just to have one. That would probably be better because I like the Vikings better than Denver. Anyway, I live in Iowa and I got the "wave" the other day. I was thinking the same thing after living in Michigan, but it's everywhere.
