    1. We will buy pass at the first park we visit.
    2. We are allowing approx $210 for fuel (Ford Fusion)
    3. We paid for Alcatraz boat trip ✔️

    Now...
Bicycle rental. We want to do this in San Francisco to go through the bridge.
Grand Canyon also offers this, is this better option than walking/car? We arrive mid day to Grand Canyon (approx) and leave the following afternoon.

At the Grand Canyon, drive in from the east (US-89/AZ-64) and stop at the viewpoints on the way into the village. Park the car in the village and use the shuttle bus system to visit the viewpoints on the way out to Hermit's Rest.

If you are budgeting $210 for fuel, that should be good for 3000 miles.

After reading a lot about it in different sites and being quite fit ourselve, We decided to hire some bikes at Grand Csnyon and do a 21 mile round trip for main sightseeing. this will be day one.
The following morning we have a few hours and I'm toying with the idea of the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon.

    A few things to consider:
    1. I feel this is one of those things that if we didn't do, we will regret.
    2. I think it will be an amazing experience for us and especially the kids.
    3. My husband suffers from fear of flying (hard enough to get him to fly in a plane. Let alone a helicopter).
    4. Price. It seems very expensive for the length of time the tour takes.

My question then is.... Is it as good as everybody says? Would we regret not doing it?

Default Only you will know the answer.

No one can really answer your question as to whether you will regret it and even then you won't really know until after your visit. So what can I tell you? The Grand canyon in itself is an amazing place, the views from the rim are amazing and it's a truly memorable occasion in itself. Would you miss something you never had, maybe not. Is your heart telling you to fly and your head telling you not to ? Yep, I have been there and we took the decision to follow our hearts. The flight over the canyon from the Grand canyon airport in Tusayan was memorable, all 45 minutes of it and one of the highlights of any trip we have taken. Would it have spoilt the trip if we hadn't taken it, would we have regrets ? Nope not one bit, but we are glad we did it. Of course you have to consider poor Hubby, or leave him at the bar ! ;-)

Hmm, probably not much help !! lol

Considering he has to get a doctors prescription for tablets he needs to take to get on a plane I'd say he will need more than a couple of beers
