Dave, May 15th is a good guess and is one of the dates I had in mind. However I'm going to try May 9th at 10 am. Apparently the Glacier Point road is going to open on Sat., April 28th, and there are plows are east of Tenaya Lake. Chances are good that I'll get on the road in mid-May.
Plowing through it !
The road crews are now working along the entire length of Tioga Pass. Reports say there is still a lot of snow, rock and debris to be cleared from the road and the Olmsted Avalanche zone is still active so there is still a lot of work to be done. Looking at the forecasts it would suggest there will be some snow showers early next week as well to contend with. It wouldn't surprise me if it were to open in the next week to 10 days.
Glacier point is to open to cars today, bikes have been allowed on it since Thursday 26th.

May 22 at 8:30 AM - I think May 17 or 18 are also likely, but it always seems to open a day or two too late for me to use it on my return from Mammoth to the Bay Area.
Hoping by 5/31, so we can get through from the East. I'll take a guess for May 14th at 9:00am. 1st visit to Yosemite, regardless of which side we get there from!

They are reporting the Pass is now plowed but side roads are still snowy and work is continuing to clear debris along the road. No announcements as to when it may open to bicycles or vehicles as yet.

Mariposa Grove to open.
On a slightly different subject that will be of interest to Yosemite visitors , the long awaited re-opening of Mariposa Grove (Giant Sequoia's) will happen at 9:00am on Friday, June 15.

The latest update from Yosemite states that the pass will not open over this weekend (May 12-13) but they are working hard to open it asap. I presume the statement was issued to try and reduce the number of enquiries from those planning to visit this weekend.

Park website has posted Monday, May 21st at 9 am for opening road to vehicles with weekend for bicycles.

Off by a weekend - that's by far the closest I've been (assuming that opened to cars, not just bikes, is the standard we're going with.
