Family Trip from los Angeles to Seattle in 35ft RV

Hello All, I'm in need of advise, tips plans ..... So We're leaving for Seattle Dec 29th and hitting the road for 7 to 8 days max, I need your advise on which route is best to take that will provide campsites with hookups, where should we stop on the way, I'd like to stop at crater lake, is it possible that time of year, is it to dangerous with 35ft rv? any help or road trip route ideas would be great. I'd recommend you stay close to the coast. Crater Lake is open via OR-62 to the Rim Village weather permitting, but the rim road and north entrance is closed for the winter. Campsites with hookups that are open in the winter are probably few and far between, this would be a much better summer trip.

I would agree that the coastal route would be a good choice but as we always say, there is no single 'best route' or attraction, as that depends on what you would like to see and do. That would then start to give you an indication of where to spend your nights along the way. You will have to take the possible weather scenarios into consideration when planning but it's impossible to get an accurate forecast until much closer to your departure. There are some RV parks in and around Portland if you were to consider exploring the Historic Columbia river Highway and wanted to have a mix of the coast and some inland attractions.
