  1. Default Road Trip from Sacramento to Death Valley!

I am terrible at planning a family road trip. Please help me! Family of 5 road tripping from Sac to Death Valkey to see the Super Bloom, plus fun family friendly stops/attractions.. Including Vegas and the Hoover Dam. Thanks for all your help!

    Default I'm green with envy.

Hi and Welcome to the Great American Roadtrip Forum.

The first thing you might like to do is go to AAA and pick up a good map of California, if you do not already have one. You will see many routes laid out before you

Depending on the time available for this trip you could head to Truckee and then down US395. Or head south and cross the Sierras on one of the passes which is open. Depends very much on what sort of driving you enjoy and have time for.

Wish I could go see them.

    Default Lakes, mountains and canyon.

You don't say how long you have for the trip but heading along US395 you have places like Mono, June and Mammoth Lakes and the wonderful Alabama Hills just west of the town of Lone Pine off the Whitney Portal road to Movie Flats road, great for film buffs with great views of Mt Whitney. As you are heading south of Vegas to Hoover Dam and if you have time, then the Grand canyon south rim is an amazing place to spend a night or two.
