I enjoy getting in my 1974 resto-mod little British car and driving around North America for weeks at a time. Often with other car enthusiasts. You may see me holding a sign for the Moss Motoring Challenge, a scavenger hunt sponcered by a supplier of car parts for these old sports cars. Check it out on FB.

My 2015 trip is NC to Niagara Falls to Portland, ME then ferry to Yarmouth , the Cabot Trail, wandering south through New England and south along the coast back to NC.

Looking for suggestions of must see sights. I'm doing the MMC (Moss Motoring Challenge) so I'l be looking for points. I always enjoy meeting fellow MG enthusiasts. I've not driven much in New England but would like to plan out about a three week route. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This site is a treasure of ideas for those of us who like to do as Charles Kuralt who did a TV series, On the Road, based on stories he discovered as he explored the USA in an RV in the 1970's and 1990's.. Thanks for sharing

    Default Rallying in the Northeast

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

My own rally days are a bit far behind me, and my car of choice was a '57 SAAB 93 (I couldn't squeeze my 6'3" frame into the MGB I considered buying.), and I did most of that in the mid-Atlantic area. But the East Coast/New England/Nova Scotia area was my home for many years as well and the driving there will warm the cockles of your heart. To help get you started, check out these discussions of things to see and do between North Carolina and Niagara (inland route), Niagara and Boston, and in New England in general. Also check out (and contribute to when your trip is done) the RoadTrip Report Forum.

Default Never let the truth get in the way of a good story...

Just to be historically accurate... Charles Kuralt rarely traveled more than 10 miles in any RV during the taping of his TV show. He flew to virtually of the locations, stayed overnight in motels/hotels and then drove to wherever the RV was parked with his film crew and traveled in it only long enough to tape the segment and then he flew home.

The segments were well-done, however, and it's great that you are reproducing the intended routes depicted in the shows.
