Default Yes, for a mini hot springs tour!

Thanks AZ Buck! Taking US 12 from near Missoula into Idaho is a great idea (but be sure to spend a night or a day in the Garden City of Missoula). The commercially developed Lolo Hot Springs are on US 12 near the state line. Not far down into Idaho, and with more effort required to reach, lie Weir Creek HS and Jerry Johnson HS, each a walk-in off of US 12. I recall one is about a 45 minute walk and the other somewhat less. Whatever the exact situation, each is a natural undeveloped hot spring adjacent to a cold mountain stream. Some hot springing enthusiasts I know from Challis, ID are quite enthused about each of the walk-ins.

Wow wow and wow!!! Sounds perfect!!! Excuse my ignorance but aren't I supposed see something up in Idaho and the eastern side of Washington.
I've not studied any maps yet. I tend to take lots of advice along the way. But I've never been given such great road by road advice ever!!!
But just asking for all the options if there are any others.
Y'all have exceeded all my expectations.
If you ever need ideas around Western North Carolina including Asheville, I'm your go to.

The options you have are far too numerous to mention on a post, forum or even a website. There must be hundreds if not thousands. Go to AAA and get yourself some great maps of each State through which you think you will be travelling, sit down and study them.

Many attractions are marked on good quality maps, as are the numerous scenic routes.
