  1. Default Personal Growth Roadtrip(One Way)

    Hey everybody,

I am brand new to this forum and just signed up about an hour ago. I am in need of directions from the NYC area to Denver, CO.

Here are my goals for this one way trip that will help me see whats really important in my life.

About Me: 23 year old male in search of a wild adventure. I love pushing my self to the limit and seeing what I am capable of.

Hobbies: Action sports including mountain biking and snowboarding, being out in nature, exercising and taking long walks by myself to think about life and how to be happy.

Education: College Graduate who wants to see if its possible to do what you love rather than just working for corporate America. On top of that, I can even find a job so I need to change something...

Goal for the trip: Stop in 3 unique cities that have a young population and active outdoor culture. I am on a limited budget and need to save whatever money is possible. At the same time, spending a little extra money on gas to see something spectacular is right up my alley. This trip is going to document my idea for a photography/travel blog I plan on creating once I am able to capture some scenic pictures on my adventure of "Going All In..."

I would love to hear any and all opinions and hopefully come up with a somewhat flexible game plan with room for last minute changes. Such as going north rather than south, or maybe driving through Denver and straight out to California.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing everybody's opinion.

Default Head out, and go for it.

Hi, and Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip Forum.

Sounds like my type of trip. Have you thought of just getting in the car and heading out there. Go see what there is to see. Speak with the locals wherever you stop, and pick their brains. No knowing what gems you may stumble upon... no knowing what friends you may make.

I was neither your age, nor am I your gender, but that is how I approached my first trip. And even though I was a senior citizen, it was a great journey of discovery... discovering the 'me', and the 'what for'.

    Lifey
