Road trip from Miami to NYC/What to do?

My gf and I are driving up to NYC from Miami sometime in late Feb. We're planning on renting a car. I'm from NYC so I don't really need tips on what to do in the destination city. However, what can we do/see/stop off at on the way up? We don't really wanna stray too far from I95. Any suggestions would be lovely.

If you go to the map centre, on the green bar above, you can search for attractions along your route... and specify how far you want to stray. You might also like to check out this thread. And all good maps have attractions marked on them.

If you are looking for more specifics, I am sure some of the locals will jump in with suggestions.
