Hope you've had a good flight!
For your days from Houston maybe consider
1. Spacecenter, be there early and take the tour. Then drive to San Antonio in the afternoon
2. All day SA. You'll see why.
3. SA to Carlsbad. Long trip.
4. CC visit in the morning and drive via Artesia to White Sands NM. Stay Alamogordo. You also can drive via El Paso but via Cloudcroft is a nicer drive (and better views on White Sands. If there's time left see White Sands at dusk. Otherwise next morning.
5. White Sands and the drive to Tucson. See Tombstone on your way.
6. Take your time for Tucson. Don't miss the Desert Museum, Saguaro NP etc.
7. Drive to Las Vegas.
