    Default Top 3 National Parks?

I don't want to get the original thread too much farther off topic but this does beg the question: What are the other 2?

And have you really been to all 58 National Parks?

    Default Yep, I've been fortunate

Pretty sure I've been to all 58(?) National Parks. NPS-managed properties are in the hundreds of sites. OK, I'll make a list and confirm this...

Really tough to choose my top 3 -- but I have a special place in my heart for a place called Death Valley.

I just added up what parks we went to on our recent 6 week trip. We visited 16 National Parks and numerous National Monuments. Each were different and unique.
I dont think I could seperate them.
I wanted to go to death Valley but our van rental wouldnt allow it. Yet I could drive around and camp in the deserts of Arizona in 108 drgree temp.
From a photography side of thing I loved Crater Lake, Yosemite and Yellowsone and Grand Teton.Bryce canon was beautiful also.
Actually I loved everything we say.

Default 16 National Parks in 38 days?

That seems like a pretty amazing feat. And you only captured some 8,000 photos?

I wanted to thank you for your posts -- Very nice.

Thanks Mark. My wife took hours and hours of video for me to edit. Just sorting photos into day by day at the moment.I slowed toward the end a bit. Also spent a few days in Vegas, 6 days in Phoenix and 2 in San Diego, so the Parks got thier share of attention.I found towards the end it took a lot to get me to raise the camera.I got pretty spoilt with what I saw earlier in the trip.

    1- Sequoia NP
    2- Kings Canyon
    3-Yosemite NP
    4-Redwood NP
    5-Crater Lake NP
    6-Yellowstone NP
    7-Grand Teton NP
8-Arches Np From hot air balloon
    9-Canyonlands
    10-Capitol Reef NP
    11-Bryce Canyon
    12-Zion NP
    13-Grand Canyon
    14- Joshua Tree NP

Subjective but funnily enough I have trampled all over California but purposely never been to Death Valley. Always decided to take alternative routes. Reason – a long time ago while doing national service (required service in army) I had to live under canvas for over a year in a desert – yes there was more than sand - in Yemen and it was more desert than I wanted to see in a life time. Maybe one day I shall make it but still no strong urge.

The USA is a big place. No mention of Alaska – Deniali and Mount McKinley – is stunning place. Also Hawaii- especially the Big Island and the flowing lava from the volcanoes. And there are the southern and eastern states where there are glories to be found.

In my top few places a favourite is still the big coastal redwood trees in Northern California.

But I am still travelling and looking.
