Planning a road trip next year, possibly around May time for 2/3 mths from East coast to West coast or vice versa.

Starting point from East - NY/Boston to Seattle (via Yellowstone) maybe up to Vancouver, down California with the option of Vegas (been there before but will go again if that is what you would want) Mexico being another option, New Orleans, Florida, DC, Philadelphia and back to New York (some 20+ States) I was thinking Alaska also but it seems to be way out.

This is a rough plan so I'm open to ideas. To try and keep costs down I may do some voluntary work, couchsurfing and camping - along the way - should be fun.
