  1. Default Boston to LA looking for traveler buddy!

    Hi,

I am from Boston and I am planning a trip on 12th of Dec to LA through Seattle.
I am wondering how long would it take us from Boston to LA if we are driving all the time.
Also I'm looking for traveler buddies if anyone is interested to join?!

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

Boston to LA direct is 3000 miles and requires a minimum of 5 days on the road. Going "through Seattle" adds another 1000 miles, and 2 more long days on the road.

Of course, that assumes a best case situation where you don't hit any significant weather issues. In reality for a trip of this length in December, you should have at least one more extra day available to give you a cushion for the chance of seeing a winter storm that would slow you down.
