I'm planning a family road trip in June. I've got most of it figured out so far but I'm stuck on what route to take from Phoenix to Salt Lake City. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default An Easy (or Hard?) Choice

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America forum.

Well, probably the shortest route (time-wise) would be to take US-93 up to Las Vegas and then I-15 into Salt Lake City, but a slightly more scenic route would be to head up I-17 to Flagstaff and then US-89 to Page (with a side trip to the Grand Canyon?) and on through Zion National Park on UT-9, joining I-15 to SLC on the far side. I think either route is suitable, so pick whichever appeals more to you and your family
