Sorry to know of your wife's difficulties. I can imagine every sort of event presents challenges with that condition.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks, in terms of traveling it usually applies in one of two ways. The first is that she can't drive someplace where she doesn't know whats ahead. Even exits to stop for gas are difficult for her. However straight shots on Interstates and stopping at rest stops she's good with. This route increases the amount of time she can be behind the wheel. (Therefore decreasing the amount I have to drive by default.)

Of course all of this is assuming the weather gets better as we get into the south. If its snowing, then I'll be driving. Not just because of her anxiety, but also because she grew up in the South and snow to her was never anything more then a fun thing to play in. She's never driven in it. We've only been married 7 months now so, she hasn't had the time to learn.

The second way is less importat but still annoying. A lot of times I like to know when the next rest stop is or something like that and the only good way to find that out is a good old fashioned Atlas. Unfortunutly she has difficulty with these. She claims to be able to read them, but the problem is that apparently she has difficulty focusing in on one thing when there are a lot of other things on the page.

Not sure why the second part is and if it has anything to do with her Anxiety. I do know she's very smart, she got straight A's in college and graduated Summa Cum Laude which is a lot better then I did.
